dApp Definition - What are dApps?

dApp means "decentralized app". A dApp is an application for the computer or cell phone, which is stored completely on a blockchain. It is therefore decentralized and cannot be downloaded directly from a server such as the Google Play Store, but is loaded from many different pcs, similar to how a download with BitTorrent works.

Therefore nobody can forbid or block the download, as various App Stores on the cell phone for example often do. Also nobody within the App can block or zensieren individual users, if the App on-line with other users interacts. There is no central office that can do this.
